Lauren Cappabianca is a fashion design graduate from Kent State University, May of 2020 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Design and a focus on Technical Design and Digital Fabrication.
Throughout her time of studying as a Fashion Design major, she accepted a position as a Designer for the Kent State University Fashion School Store her first semester in the program. In her Fall semester of 2018, she interned for Sally LaPointe in New York, NY as a Studio Intern. Under this position, she worked closely with the Head of Product Development and the Head of Design Development. Interning for both of these departments, she found her passion of Technical Design. With the future of fashion always in mind, she has studied 3D printing and Optitex Patterning Software with 3d Modeling and incorporated it into her designs.
Lauren accepted a position in June of 2020 with Jordan Arthur Smith as Head of Product and Design Development. In this position she filled many lead roles as a Technical Designer, Patternmaker, Seamstress and Stylist. She worked closely with lead designer in executing a successful first collection of the brand.
Lauren is passionate about creating pieces that embody both masculinity and femininity with the perfect balance of sensuality and effortless sophistication. She believes in dressing for yourself and hopes to motivate people to do the same. She strives to make each effortless piece a nod to a fresh perspective of the past. She believes in experiences that show integrity, transparency, and quality designs.
She has never been more passionate, ambitious and careful with another concept.
